The One Year Executive MBA Programme is specially designed to equip executives with the skills and knowledge they need to get ahead in their careers. The transition from being a Professional to a Manager, in today's knowledge economy, needs a sound grounding in the core disciplines of Management, as well as skills in Leadership and Strategy.
Program Objective
This program will equip you with the skills needed to be an effective manager, leader and strategist,the skills you need to enhance business competitiveness and interact effectively with executive management as a strategic business partner.

Certification/Degree
Candidates successfully completing the program will be awarded a degree in Executive Master of Business Administration from Karnataka State Open University, Mysore.
Program Structure
Each student comes to UBS with unique professional and personal reasons for pursuing a masters degree in business administration. The curriculum includes a range of courses that take advantage of new teaching methods and the reinforcement of basic skills and concepts.
The Program is structured over 2 Semesters , covering Basic Discipline of Management, Core Organizational Functions and Functional Skills.
There is also a compulsory Project at the end of the Program

Learning @ UBS
UBS brings to you a new way of learning that albeit unconventional is every bit as effective and exciting as traditional classroom based learning.
Our classes are held online, in Virtual Classrooms over the Internet, and are scheduled on early mornings on weekdays and weekends, giving you the flexibility to fit your education into your unique schedule.
They can be attended from your home, with access to a computer and a broadband connection.
Should you miss your class on any given day, you may view it in a recorded format at any time of your convenience later.
Typically, a student will need to put in 6-8 hours of classroom time per week, spread over a 2 hour session every alternate day.
A UBS MBA though flexible, is very demanding. The course schedule is rigorous and asks for total commitment and dedication from the students.
Assignments will typically be given once in two weeks per subject but are at the discretion of the Faculty , and frequency may
vary. Assignments would need to be done and submitted online.
Term end examination will be conducted twice a year by the University. Exams are conducted Online, at test centers in major cities around the country as well as abroad. Students have the flexibility to choose a date and time of their preference for each exam, within a declared Testing Period of two month every six months.
This gives our candidates the flexibility to adjust their test timings , to suit their professional commitments.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have passed any Bachelor's degree of a recognized University with not less than 3 year of Full Time experience a Managerial / Supervisory / Professional Role ,after their graduation (Three years Full-Time experience shall be determined as on 1st August of the year of admission)
OR
Candidates who have completed a 3 year Diploma after their 10th or 12th with not less than 5 years of Full Time experience a Managerial / Supervisory / Professional Role ,after their graduation.
Should currently be working in a Professional Capacity in any organization.
(Professionals may be defined as those candidates who are working in the Corporate Sector (Private Company / Listed Public Company) or a Public Sector Unit such as BSNL, MTNL, NTPC, BHEL etc.)
Typical Roles of a Professional may be in Management or Technical or Industry Specific, like Manager, Engineer or Sales and Marketing Professionals.
Selection Procedure
Applications for admission to various programmes are invited through advertisements in major national newspapers in June & December every year. A Program Prospectus is distributed to interested candidates on payment of the applicable fee.
Admissions at UBS are strictly only based on eligibility. UBS is a part of an ODL (Open Distance Learning) system, which is ‘Open’ in nature, and does not differentiate within candidates, on a basis other than eligibility.Thus, candidates who apply, if found eligible by the criteria set in the program, are automatically granted admission.
As a candidate, if you have ascertained that you meet the eligibility requirements of a course, you may apply online here, and complete the documentation and payment. Your application would be duly processed, and an acceptance of admission, and other necessary paperwork would be sent to you within two weeks of application and receipt of your documentation by post.. The filled-in application forms are to be sent to the Admissions Officer, U18 Business School, along with a self attested copy of all documentation listed in the form, and your fee payment, either via Demand Draft or Online. The fee schedule is also listed in the application form.
